ADMISSION

We are excited you want to learn more about Westbridge Academy.

Westbridge Academy is committed to providing an outstanding educational experience to Christian families through our mission of empowering diverse learners, preparing hearts, and inspiring lives to faithfully serve as ambassadors for Jesus Christ. With the support of Westminster Christian School, Westbridge provides an evidence-based program for dyslexic thinkers that addresses their learning challenges in an environment that also nurtures their interests and their relationship with Christ. We encourage you to explore our website to learn more. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you. Please schedule an appoint with Westbridge Director Brenda Pedrayes.

Westbridge Academy is designed for uniquely bright students with language-based learning differences such as dyslexia. We are not a therapeutic school, and will not be the right fit for all students. Before beginning the admission process, please note that Westbridge cannot meet the needs of:

  • Children with lower cognitive abilities
  • Children diagnosed with autism or social communication disorders
  • Children in need of specialized programs for behavioral, psychiatric, or social/emotional diagnoses.

A Message from Brenda Pedrayes

Westbridge Academy Director

As the Director of Westbridge Academy at Westminster Christian School, I feel privileged to be a part of God’s plan for our students. My passion for exceptional student education began when I taught Sunday school to students with varying disabilities as a teenager. The experience inspired me to pursue a B.S. in Exceptional Student Education from Florida International University, an M.S. Ed. in early intervention from the University of Miami, and an Ed.S. degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University in 2016.

With the support of Westminster Christian School, I am excited to design and implement an evidence-based program for dyslexic thinkers that will make Westbridge Academy a leader in this field. Our community will be united by purpose and committed to building a strong community, carrying on the distinguished legacy of Westminster Christian School.

Please take a few minutes to review our website, and I encourage you to reach out to learn more about our school. I look forward to meeting you!

I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for student learning, education, and Christ with the Westbridge Academy community. I am forever grateful for God’s love and the blessings to come.

Brenda Pedrayes, ED.S.

Westbridge Academy Director
