Multi-Sensory Instructional Specialist

It is a blessing to work as a multi-sensory instructional specialist at Westbridge Academy. I have a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech, but I found my true passion in teaching. This passion was developed during the years I spent homeschooling my own four children and through years of teaching the Bible to children at church. The Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and spelling has been a valuable tool I have used over the last 12 years with struggling readers. I have completed the Associate Level Orton-Gillingham training course through an Orton-Gillingham Academy accredited training program and am currently working on practicum requirements to finalize my Associate level certification. Additionally, I have gained experience through training in the Multi-Sensory Math Approach. I truly delight in seeing my students thrive when implementing these hands-on techniques at all levels of mathematics.
